Tom Baylerian

Tom Baylerian is the Event Sponsorship Sales Director for USA TODAY NETWORK Ventures. Previous to this role, Tom served as Vice President of Partnerships for Capture Sports Marketing in Wisconsin, offering campaign creation, strategies and corporate partnership sales.

A sampling of these campaigns included End Stigma. Change Lives., to break down the stigma surrounding mental health. Matt LeFleur’s 10 Days of Hope, a campaign created for Green Bay Packer’s head coach Matt LeFleur, helped raise money for the Bart and Cherry Starr Children’s Fund for Pediatric Cancer Research and Treatment.

Prior to Capture Sports Marketing, Tom was the Executive Director of Sports Marketing and Cause Marketing for The Chicago Tribune. Baylerian was responsible for the development of revenue strategies, meeting client’s KPI’s, creating strategic media and marketing programs/campaigns and increasing the financial performance for the Chicago Tribune’s Premium Accounts. Baylerian also negotiated corporate contracts and created never-done-before third-party sponsorship campaigns with Chicago’s professional sports teams.

As Vice President of Advertising and Sales for the USA Today Network-Wisconsin, Tom oversaw print, digital, corporate partnerships and overall advertising revenue for Wisconsin’s most powerful media and marketing solutions organization which included the USA Today Network’s 11 Wisconsin markets.

Baylerian has years of proven results in multimedia and sports marketing. As Senior Director of Agency Development at The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, he created sponsorship sales campaigns including: “Aaron Rodgers 12 Days of Christmas”, “The Green Bay Packers Lambeau Leap Sweepstakes”, “Pink Out at Miller Park” and “Know this Pro.” Baylerian also created Five Words on Freedom in partnership with southeast Wisconsin’s Stars and Stripes Honor Flight, among many other legacy programs including the “Green Bay Packers Fan Hall of Fame.”

Tom negotiated all professional and semi-professional sports sponsorship agreements to financially benefit the various product lines and clients of the USA Today Network-Wisconsin. The teams included The Milwaukee Brewers, Bucks, Admirals, Wave and the Green Bay Packers. Tom produced and sold the weekly Emmy Award winning, “Preps Plus” on WTMJ-TV (NBC Affiliate). Tom has been asked to be a guest speaker at multiple Milwaukee Brewers Sponsor Summits and universities, including University of California Berkeley, Marquette University and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Prior to joining The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Baylerian was Vice President of Business Operations and Marketing for the Milwaukee Wave Indoor Soccer Franchise. He was also Program Director and Promotion Director for (News, Talk, Sports) WTMJ Radio in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Baylerian is a Marquette University graduate.
